A Word About Trimming Your Dog’s Nails
Most owners forget how the nails can quickly over grow between baths. The AKC advises that long nails can turn a dog’s paw into a splayed foot, reduce traction, and they can cause deformed
feet or injure the tendons over an extended period. As the long nail hits the ground, the pressure puts force on the foot and leg structure and the nails are prone to chipping, tearing, and painfully breaking. That clickity, click, click you hear is not a good thing.
If you forget or have trouble trimming your dog’s nails, let our professional groomers gently keep them trimmed and healthy.
Ala Carte nail trimming is $10 for boarded or daycare dogs.
Howliday Rates
Our rates increase on holiday weekends and a 3-night minimum applies. There is almost always a waiting list and early reservations are suggested. The rate increase only applies to the first dog or cat in each family of pets boarded.
We observe the combined holidays of Hanukkah, Christmas, and New Years from December 22 nd through January 1 st and the holiday weekends for Martin Luther King Jr. Day, President’s Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veterans Day, and Thanksgiving.
We are closed for daycare, checking-in, and checking-out on the day of the actual holiday.
Other Pet Boarding
We welcome birds, hamsters, bunnies, and other safe, small family pets.
Please bring their cage or aquarium and usual feed.
Prices start at $12 per night depending upon the pet and level of care involved.
Vaccination Details
REQUIRED FOR DOGS:
- Bordetella
- Distemper
- Parvo
- Rabies
San Luis Obispo County veterinarians suggest adding Leptospirosis Vaccine and Canine Influenza Virus Vaccine (CIV) because of recent outbreaks in public places.
REQUIRED FOR CATS:
- FVRCP
- Rabies
Vaccinations should be given 5 to 10 days prior to boarding.
